She has outgrown her baby crib and the decor in her baby room. We have redecorated with a vintage flair and focused on age approporiate look while using antique furniture.

The hardest thing to fit in was a new bed as we couldn't find anything worth buying that stayed within the theme. We ended up finding a custom bed maker who made a new modern bed that fit in with the theme. It's "fake" vintage really.

We have also developed a fondness for some wooden baby toys and toddler toys we have found online and purchased from Germany, California, and other places in our travels. A lot of these toys were purchased because of the CHina lead paint toy recall scare. Plus they look awesome and remind me of hand crafted toys from "the old days."

Vintage Toy Farm Tractors

One of the things my family collects is vintage toys. My son and daughter have a lot of toys from my childhood and we always look for unique toys from a different time- especially with the recent lead paint scare and other safety hazards.

Our son's room is decorated like a farm including farm scene murals. We were looking for some toy tractors last year to fit in with the motif. Fortunately we were able to find several metal toy tractors on eBay for reasonable prices. His favorite tractor was less than 8 dollars and includes some tool attachments. We also got a few other green and red antique tractors.

Right now we are on the look out for some vintage furniture for his room as well as some antique and wooden baby toys for our daughter.
